BIOGRAPHY
Azusa Nozawa (Shizuoka, 1994) graduated in Oil Painting from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2019. Drawing on manga, anime and childhood sticker collections, she creates layered paintings populated by overlapping youthful figures. Her work explores memory, attachment and the emotional complexity beneath cute imagery. Through repetition, fragmentation and blurred forms, she examines how personal experiences and images linger, transform and gradually fade.
