About
A Pop Up gallery bringing japanese contemporary art to unexpected spaces across Italy
OUR STORY
Founded in 2025, Ghiringhelli Art Gallery is a nomadic platform dedicated to contemporary art. Operating without a fixed location, the gallery presents exhibitions across Italy in a range of architectural contexts, from historic interiors to industrial spaces and private residences.
The program places a particular emphasis on contemporary Japanese art, fostering a dialogue between Japanese artists and the European cultural landscape. Working across painting, sculpture, photography, and new media, the gallery develops projects that respond directly to their setting while maintaining a rigorous curatorial vision.
Ghiringhelli Art Gallery is committed to building long-term relationships with artists and collectors, supporting practices that engage with material, perception, and space
OUR MISSION
We seek to redefine the landscape of contemporary art collecting in Italy. By foregrounding Japanese contemporary practices, we introduce artists whose work reflects a distinct sensitivity to material, form, and perception, often underrepresented in the European context.
Acting as a bridge between Italy and Japan, we foster a direct exchange between artists, collectors, and institutions, creating new pathways for discovery and dialogue. Our program is driven by a commitment to intellectual rigor, offering access to practices that extend beyond established Western frameworks. Through this approach, we aim to shape new collecting perspectives and encourage a deeper engagement with contemporary art on an international level
COLLECTING
We work closely with collectors at all stages, offering guidance grounded in research, connoisseurship, and long-term vision. Our focus lies in introducing works that hold both cultural relevance and lasting value, with particular attention to Japanese contemporary practices that remain underrepresented in European collections.
