Feel The Void
CURATORIAL TEXT
Feel the Void, presented by Upsilon Gallery in Milan from April 1 to April 17, 2026, brought together an international group of contemporary artists exploring the concept of emptiness as an active perceptual condition rather than a simple absence.
Conceived in the context of Milano Art Week 2026, the exhibition transformed the gallery space into a subtle, immersive environment where works often appeared almost invisible, blending with the architecture and challenging the viewer’s perception. Through sculpture, installation, and video, the presentation examined the void as a generative space—one defined by tension, silence, and the shifting relationship between object, space, and observer.
The exhibition featured artists including Loris Cecchini, Kohei Nawa, Chim Pom, and Yuji Ueda, among others, presenting a diverse range of practices unified by a shared investigation into perception and spatial ambiguity.
Feel the Void was realized in collaboration with Ghiringhelli Art Gallery, which contributed to the exhibition through the loan of three works by Japanese contemporary artists Yuji Ueda, Kohei Nawa, and Chim Pom, further reinforcing the dialogue between European and Japanese contemporary practices
